Beowa National Park Explorer

The Beowa National Park Explorer is a great way to unwind while getting off the beaten track. Along with a great snorkelling experience, you can take the time to explore some of the land-based attractions Bewoa National Park has to offer over the course of a memorable day. In the water, you can expect to encounter resident Wobbegong Sharks, Port Jackson Sharks (friendly sharks) and graceful Eagle Rays. Along with a myriad of other fascinating marine life. Due to its relatively narrow opening to the sea, Bittangabee Bay offers a high level of protection from the forces of the ocean. As such, the conditions within Bittangabee Bay are often clear and calm, making for perfect snorkelling.

On the land it is not uncommon to encounter some of Australia’s most iconic wildlife such as Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wombats, Goanna’s, White Bellied Sea Eagles and the ever entertaining Superb Lyre Bird to name a few. As a part of the Bewoa National Park Explorer your guide will stop at Disaster Bay Lookout and Greencape Light Station. Both sites offering spectacular coastal views and world class land-based whale watching opportunities. A healthy homemade light lunch and refreshments are also provided.

Mammals, Birds and Sea Life Oh My!
I can’t begin to express what an amazing, unexpected adventure we had with ACWA! Matt, our wonderful guide, was supreme! When he learned of our love for birds, he brought us to several spots to hear and see Australia’s best from Bell birds and pelicans to the illusive Lyre bird and White Breasted Sea Eagle that he was quick to stop for as we spotted them along our adventures! We also saw kangaroos and a momma wallaby with her joey! Ben Boyd National Park was absolutely stunning! Our snorkeling at Bittangabee Bay was utterly memorable! We saw three different types of rays and had an amazing encounter with an octopus! Matt showed us numerous fish and urchins! A tour with ACWA is an environmentally conscious tour chalk full of information, gorgeous views and adventures! Thanks Matt and Scott!
