Snorkelling is a fun, relaxing, and exciting activity that allows you to become a part of a fascinating underwater world. Each snorkelling experience provides opportunities to explore, learn and grow as you as you begin to understand the complex relationships occurring in the marine ecosystems encountered. 

Why the Sapphire Coast?

The Sapphire Coast consists of roughly 160 km of spectacular coastline spanning from Bermagui in the north to close to the Victorian border in the south. Many features including headlands, embayments, coastal inlets, lakes, quaint coastal villages, swaths of stunning bushland and an abundance of undisturbed beaches make up the coastal fringe. This coastal fringe is backed by undulating hills and more quaint villages further inland. These make way for frequent awe inspiring vistas that tug at the heartstrings of even the most widely travelled visitor. The coastline provides the stable foundations for a marine playground for those that way inclined. Whether it be diving, snorkelling, boating, fishing, sightseeing, beachcombing, whale watching, surfing and so on there will be somewhere within the coastal fringe inviting you to explore.

Running parallel to this much adored coastal fringe is a narrow expanse of shallow kelp covered reefs that are buffered by sandy bottom. These reefs provide robust habitat for all manner of marine life that can be seen a short distance from the shore in many locations. As the name suggests the ‘Sapphire Coast’ is consistently graced with the presence of stunningly clear water. For these reasons, and many more (those that must be experienced first-hand) the Sapphire Coast is a snorkel diver/marine enthusiasts paradise. What to Bring

Towel, sun protection, swimwear to go underneath a wetsuit (best put on before arrival) and any medication required.
